Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War” Released
|

The biggest film of the year, “Avengers: Infinity War”, is here. This movie
becomes a mind-boggling nineteenth entry in its sprawling film
universe, which kicked off with Tony Stark stuck in Afghanistan, and now
spans planets, galaxies, and realms. Directed by Anthony and Joe
Russo – who previously helmed “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”
and “Captain America: Civil War”.

As the “Avengers” and their allies have continued to protect the world
from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has
emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos, whose goal is to collect all
six Infinity Stones and lead the world.

Marvel’s Trailer for “Ant-Man and the Wasp” Release
|

Director Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly return
for the sequel to the 2015 hit. With moviegoers still recovering from the
finale to “Avengers: Infinity War”, Marvel Studios has released a poster
and trailer for “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, coming July 6 to theaters.

Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a
super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with
his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he is confronted by Hope van Dyne and
Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on
the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works
together to uncover secrets from the past.

“Deadpool 2” Movie Released
|

Directed by David Leitch, “Deadpool 2” is the sequel to Deadpool and the
second film in the Deadpool trilogy, as well as the eleventh installment in
the X-Men film series.

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade
Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest
bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste.
Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must
battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he
journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship,
and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted
coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover. Movie was released worldwide on
May 18, 2018.

Arena Animation students had their dream come true through the recently organised visits to some of
the most renowned studios, inlcuding: MPC Films, Mega Media, Green Gold, Xentrix Studios and
Prime Focus World. More than 102 students attended the studio visits. In these visits, students got an
opportunity to get their work evaluated by industry experts, understand the work process in such
studios, see the on-going projects, and interact about the scope of the Media & Entertainment
Industry. Moreover, one of the studios also selected few students who would be interviewed for job
opportunities in that studio.

Saharsh Arora, a student from Arena Animation, was a Runner-up in Graphic Design category in “India
Skills”, a competition by the government.

STUDIO VISIT
|

|
Authorities from Arena Animation got an opportunity to meet and interact with Pete Draper, Founder of Makuta
Studios, which held the primary responsibility for the VFX of “Baahubali” Part 1 & Part 2 and recently released
Rajnikanth starrer “Kaala”. The authorities also met the Founder & CEO of Green Gold, the studio behind the
popular “Chota Bheem”.

SEMINAR & STUDENTS’ WORK DISPLAY

|
In the month of May, a seminar on VFX Animation was conducted, followed by display of student projects. This
session was attended by 120 students and their parents. It was a good opportunity for the parents to
understand the scope of Media & Entertainment Industry.

CAREER ORIENTED SEMINAR
|
|
|
On 18th May 2018, a career oriented seminar was organized, which was attended by more than 100 students.
Experts from the industry spoke about presence of Animation and VFX in the current scenario, scope of Media
& Entertainment Industry, and various career and placement opportunities in the market. It was a great session
for students to understand various aspects of the Animation and VFX Industry.
